Catherine Claire AlexanderCutter Diamond Products

My name is Claire Alexander. I am a 2019 graduate of Pell City High School in Pell City, AL with a 4.1 GPA and an Advanced Academic with Honors diploma. I was involved in Beta Club, Student Government Association, Junior Civitan, and other clubs throughout my high school career. I also served as a Pell City High School Ambassador and was elected Homecoming Queen my senior year. I have enjoyed participating in various sports, leadership, and community service activities, as well as working part-time as a bank teller for the last three years. This fall I will attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham where I will study nursing. Once I graduate with my BSN, I plan to immediately begin working as a neonatal nurse where I will care for newborn babies and their families. Using my community involvement experience and education I will work to spread knowledge of disease prevention, safe health practices, nutrition, and wellness to those around me.  Thank you to WASDA for supporting me through my educational experience. I had a wonderful freshman year and look forward to my sophomore year at UAB!

Mason "Macie" Davis, M&H Valve Company

This past semester of college has been different to say the least. Going from 100% face to face instruction to 100% online instruction has been hard, but not impossible. The staff at UNG made the transition as comfortable as possible. Over the past month I have taken my Nursing entry exam and have completed a summer course. I should receive notification about my Nursing acceptance around October 202 and couldn’t be more excited about my future. If I am accepted, I will start courses for the Nursing program in the spring of 2021. I am excited to see what my future holds at UNG and beyond. Thank you all for your support in this season of my life.
